opening date of tungnath temple in 2012

every year the opening date of Tungnath decided in omkareshwar temple;Ukhimath, in the auspicious festival, Vaishakhi or Bhaishakhi,(a festival of india) in the presence of Rawal Bheemashankar Lingam and many other local priest (Yashodharanand maithani, harsh jamloki; many more);Makkumath temple priest is also involve in this event. they all decided the date according to calcultation with Hindu Panchang (almanac).
since this year, Vaishakhi was on 13 april. hence the opening date for tungnath is decide on 13 apirl.

according to the Ukhimath temple committee, "the opening date of Tungnath Temple is 28 april 2012". and we already knows that opening date of kedarnath temple is same as date of tungnath.so this is also the best opportunity for those who are also planning to visit chopta-tungnath along with kedarnath temple.
everyday,the temple open at 6 am in the morning and close at 7Pm evening. while the daily aarti timing of tungnath temple is 6:30 evening.

in our last update we published opening date of tungnath temple, although this year opening date for madmaheshar temple is also decided on the same date of opening for tungnath in omkareshwar temple, Ukhimath.
opening date of madmaheshwar  temple is 29 april 2012 while the opening date for kedarnath temple is 28 April. but the doli of madmaheshar and kedarnath temple will come out from inside the omkareshwar temple on the same day that is 25 April. kedarnath doli will reach at kedarnath in the evening time of 27 april and the door will open in the morning of 28 april at 7:15 Am.
Madhmaheshwar doli will reach at Madmaheshwar temple committee rest room on 28 Apil and the door will open on 29 April in the morning at 7:15 Am.

Kedarnath Temple Door has been open on 28 April to all devotees across the world for 6 Month only.and this year a recorded snowfall had seen in kedarnath valley. although Snowfall is continuing in all days of the first week of opening in 2012.  although every year the valley is fully covered with snow with 6 to 10 ft but this year 15 ft recorded snow falled near to kedarnath temple.
due to this heavy snowfall , first week (28 apirl to 5 May ) is really uncomfortable or not in good order rather than previous year. there was no light,water supply and fully medical facilities till the first week of opening date.

Opening date of Rudranath Temple in 2012

One of the panch kedar temple, Rudranath temple opens on Friday 18 May,2012 for all devotees at 5:00 AM in the morning with Vadic chanting (वैदिक मंत्रोचारण ). hundred of people went with rudranth doli procession and witness for the first darshan of Rudranth temple in 2012. with that all the panch kedar temple doors open completely for 2012 summer, although the last and fifth kedar (kalpeshwar)  open for all month in the year and never closed for devotees.
Rudranath Temple situated at an altitude of above 2286 meter from sea level  and located in the mid of beatutiful grassy field land.

Kalimath temple Renovation

Most famous kalimath temple is on renovation now a day. temple renovation work started just few day before under Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee.
as kalimath temple is known for it's spiritual power. and it's always opens for all 12 month of  year from the morning 5:00 AM to evening 6:00 PM. the temple renovation work starts with it's out-area. labor keep the middle part of temple as it is before and it's outer pillar overthrow from there after digging one day.
digging work is going in progress and very fast as devotee not getting enough time to worship Maa Kali. but worship is continuing  in the small part of internal part of temple.

Snowfall in Chopta Tungnath

it's again after a long time to see a heavy snow fall in the most beautiful tourist place in  lap of uttarakhand. in this winter season, while the cold weather is on peak of it, heavy snow felled in the whole kedarnath valley but the beautiful things is that as chopta is the most visited tourist place during snow winter season along with tungnath temple, these two area strongly filled and all covered with snow. all around is seeming white and white snow. hundred of local visitors came here with their family and friends and enjoy the snow during the most beautiful time of the year between the Christmas and New year Week.

                  but this year the snowfall record couldn't touch the previous year snowfall record yet. as per the record chopta seems like put snow sheet everywhere and tungnath is fully merged in snow and some of there hotel and houses fully covered with snow. there were above 7 ft high snow measured in the early morning of this Happy New Year.

This year the door of kedarnath temple will open on 17 may 2013 on Ganga Saptami (Friday) for six month. it is not yet officially announced by badrinath-kedarnath temple committee but this date will be declared on shiv ratri festival and Muhurat timing for opening door will also disclosed by temple committee CEO. as we know in 2012 kedarnath temple opened on 28 April for all devotee around the globe and closed on 15 November 2012 just after 2 days of deepawali festival.while kedarnath temple door will closed on Tuesday 5th November 2013.

opening date of char dham yatra is 12 may in 2013. according to the temple committee gangortri and yamunotri temple reopening in 12 may in 2013 for six months after remaining closed for this same duration. badrinath and kedarnath temple will also reopen at earlier morning of 17 and 18 may in 2013.in this closed 6 month char dham temple had on under snowbound in winter season.

One of the panch kedar (2nd ) Madhmaheshar temple opening on 20 May in 2013. According to the tradition, the opening date decided on the auspicious day of Vaishakhi festival (April, 14) in Ukhimath ( winter place of Lord Kedarnath ji ).Every year the priest of Brahamankholi (a place of uthimath) and other member of badrinath-kedarnath temple committee will abstracted the date of opening from Panchanga ( a hindu calender ). so the door will open at 11 :00 AM morning for six month summer season.

The Doli of madhmaheshwar temple will came out from sanctuary of Omkareshwar temple in 16 may. for the next day Doli worship held at out of the temple sanctuary. on may 18 , Doli set off from Omkareshwar temple and will go on to Ransi village for that day night stay. in this day all the villagers comes to Ransi temple for a glimpse and blessing of madhmahshwar ji. in the next morning madhmaheshwar Doli will departure from Ransi village to Gaundar village. on 19 may doli will rest in Gaundar village.on 20 may doli will departure form gaundar to temple at 7:00 AM. 
at the 11 AM temple preist and his assistant take a orbital round of madhamahshwar temple with Doli and opened the door for six month.

Every year the opening date of kedarnath temple is decided on the Maha ShivRatri festival, by the local priest of Ukhimath. Maha ShivRatri is a Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. This year ShivRatri was celebrated on 27 February. in this day a group of local priest decided to reveal the date for opening kedarnath temple door according to their Panchang (Hindu Calendar).
according to local priest Panchang calculation and their consent with Badrianth-Kedarnath Temple Committee, it is officially announced the opening date of kedarnath temple is 4th may 2014.closing date of kedarnath temple is also decided on the same day. Kedarnath shrine will be closed on the day of Bhaiya Duj Festvial (The day after Deepawali festival). This year Bhaiya Duj is celebrating on 25th October 2014. hence Kedarnath temple will closed on 25th October 2014.

Operation Kedar - Disposal of Human skeletons and bodies

Operation Kedar:- The operation Kedar in Kedarnath valley start from 12 June,2014 to disposal all the human skeletons and dead bodies that are smashed during Kedarnath Devastation on 16-17 June 2013. more than 50 human skeletons and bodies have been found so far! Uttarakhand police continue play the search operation in near Gaurikund and Jungalchatti. There are continuous finding the male skeletons and dead bodies near Gurikund - Kedarnath Junglechatti. nine males and three rotten skeleton - embraced bodies are recovered on Friday evening between six and seven o'clock by Uttarakhand Police.

Presently honorable  chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat’s initiated  and approve "Char Dham Yatra" in winter season also. CM Harish Rawat concerned a meeting with the Priests and other members of Gangotri-Yamunotri and Badri-Kedar Temple Committee. The proposal has been approved to start an annual yatra to wintering Char Dham Yatra from November 2014 onwards.

The date for Badrinath Dham decided on Saturday, January 24, 2015 on the very auspicious day of Hindu, BASANT PANCHMI FESTIVAL.Shri Badrinath temple will open in the morning on April 26, 2015 at 05:15 AM for next 6 months.on the other side the opening date for Kedarnth temple is decided on Tuesday,February 17, 2015. however opening date of Kedarnath temple is predicted on 24th April 2015.

  • Do not plan your travel in rainy season as landslides happen in the period. Plan your travel in the following month dates (20 April-12 June), (25 September-11 November 2015).
  • All four shrines (Badrinath, Kedarnath Yamunotri, Gangotri ) located at an altitude of above sea level of 10,170 Ft., 11,755 Ft., 10, 804 Ft, 10170.6 Ft. respectively. so make sure you all are physically fit for Char Dham Yatra Journey. 
  • Note or save some important contact and help line number in your mobile for 2015 ( Read updated Char Dham Yatra Contact, Help Line Numbers ).
  • Always Carry a first Aid kit with you in case of emergency.
  • Book your helicopter ticket for Kedarnath one month prior to your travel dates(in case of going to kedarnath by helicopter). carry your booked helicopter ticket with you and go for reporting at lease 5-6 hours before flight time.
  • Get ready earlier (7:00 AM) in the morning to trek Kedarnath route from Sonprayag. [in case of going from trekking route via Munkatiiya-Lincholi-Kedarnath(22Km Approx.)]
  • Be very positive while trekking and keep short steps and deep breaths time to time.
  • Carry woolen clothes, jackets, hat  and raincoat to avoid the rain with you.

    Kedarnath Shrine, After 2 Years Of Devastation

    Today,16 June, It was the same day when the holy abode was affected by cloudburst devastation in 2013. more than 10,0000 pilgrims and local peoples trapped in Char Dham Shrines in various regions because of landslides and blocked roads. thousand of thousand people lost their family member, homes, friends, shops, shebang, wealth and lots more. covering a population of  more than 700,000 people affected in India. Kedarnath shrine was mud and slashed everywhere with thousand of dead bodies. temple complex was fully merged in dead bodies everywhere.our armed force, hundred of  local volunteer peoples, were trying to save lives. The wholevalleywas envelopedindarkness for few months.
    But Uttarakhand government with the help of NIM (​Nehru Institute Of​​ Mountaineering) day and night work make it feasible for Darshan to devotee again in just one season of work. we salute the people, the arms force, and everyone who were helping to rescue lifes in that time. we salute to NIM(​Nehru Institute Of​​ Mountaineering) work as they work thier in even -50,-60 degree to develop kedaranth town. By grace of NIM, and his Principal Col Ajay Kothiyal( KC, SC, VSM) it is now possible to visit Kedarnath shrine with all good facilities.
     
    Today, Lets salute everyone who helps to rebuild lord Shiva shrine to devotee again. lets pray for the thousand of souls who were missed in devastation.

           चक्रावर्ते भ्रमयति चक्रावर्ते भ्रमयति, कुरुतेतां धिक तां,  ॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||

    (९ ) तां तां लुप चुप तां तां डमरू वादयते, स्वामी डमरू वादयते |
           अंगुष्ठांगुलिनादं, अंगुष्ठांगुलिनादं,  लासकतां कुरुते, ॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||

    (१० ) कपूर्रद्युतिगौरं पंचाननसहितम् स्वामी पंचाननसहितम् |
           त्रिनयनशशिधरमौलिं-त्रिनयनशशिधरमौलिं, विषधरकण्ठयुतम्ॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||

    (११ ) सुन्दरजटायकलापं पावकयुतभालम् स्वामी पावकयुतभालम् |
           डमरुत्रिशूलपिनाकं-डमरुत्रिशूलपिनाकं, करधृतनृकपालम्, ॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||

    (१२ ) मुण्डै रचयति माला पन्नगमुपवीतम् स्वामी पन्नगमुपवीतम् |
           वामविभागे गिरिजारूपं अतिललितम् ॥ॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||


    (१३ ) सुन्दरसकलशरीरे कृतभस्माभरणम् स्वामी कृतभस्माभरणम् |
           इति वृषभध्वजरूपं तापत्रयहरणंॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||


    (१४ ) शंखनिनादं कृत्वा झल्लरि नादयते स्वामी झल्लरि नादयते |
           नीराजयते ब्रह्मा वेदऋचां पठतेॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||


    (१५ ) अतिमृदुचरणसरोजं हृत्कमले धृत्वा स्वामी हृत्कमले धृत्वा |
           अवलोकयति महेशं ईशं अभिनत्वाॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||

    (१६ ) ध्यानं आरति समये हृदये अति कृत्वा स्वामी हृदये अति कृत्वा |
           रामस्त्रिजटानाथं ईशं अभिनत्वाॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||

    (१७ ) संगतिमेवं प्रतिदिन पठनं यः कुरुते स्वामी पठनं यः कुरुते |
           शिवसायुज्यं गच्छति भक्त्या यः श्रृणुतेॐ हर हर हर महादेव ||

    Heavy Rainfall in Kedarnath Valley- Yatra Stalled For 2 Days

    Date 26 June,2015- continuoustorrentialrainsbegan landslides near Agastyamuni, Guptakashi, Sonprayag, Gaurikund, Lincholi and Kedarnath. The main vital bridge in Sonprayag on the raod way to Kedarnath was partially washed away in rain. However, there was no casualty due to heavy rain in valley but Uttarakhand government postponed Kedarnath yatra for few days unless the weather or road-trek ways is not  corrected properly.
